Early Clark County Families, Vol. V, p. 100, entry submitted by Hazel L. Parks. Hazel also lists for Allen three other children, Eldora b. ca 1866, Elmer b. ca 1868, and Janetta b. ca 1870. Note that Allen would have only been 16 in 1866. Either these are children of a very young marriage, or they were not his children. If the ultimate source was a census listing, as is probable from the "ca 18xx" birthdates, then they could be stepchildren.
