Notes for Jorg Philip Wühlhaver
Most of my information on this family is from charts compiled by Elizabeth Laughlin, 1315 S. First St., Kirksville, MO 63501, and filed at the Clermont Co. Historical Society in Batavia, OH, in 1985. She lists as her sources:
Chamber's "Early Germans of New Jersey", p. 236-242
Philhower Papers in Rutger's Library
Philip's DAR No. 568314
N.J. Archives Vol 39, p. 350
"Germans of Northern New Jersey"
The LDS Ancestral file has Jorg Philip's death date as 2 Apr 1803, which is actually the date his will entered probate. It was written on 10 Feb 1803. He probably died sometime in March, but possibly late February.
