Notes for Elizabeth Hall
I can't find either John or Elizabeth in the index to Kentucky Death records, so they probably either both died before 1911, or moved out of state.
They also seem to have moved out of the Morgan/Rowan/Bath Co. area before 1880, because there are no Henning families in those counties in the 1880 census.
The Hennings in Kentucky seem to be concentrated along the Ohio River, from Louisville through Owensboro. The searches I did in the KY death index, one on the first 50 Hennings (A through Francis) and one on John Henning (7 records) had the following distribution: Jefferson 18, Breckenridge 16, Daviess 15, Fulton 2, Hancock 2, Fayette 1, Floyd 1, Henderson 1, McCracken 1.
Of course, this distribution will be irrelevant if John & Elizabeth moved out of state entirely. From our part of Kentucky, moves north to farming country in Ohio and Indiana were more common than moves to the urbanized parts of western Kentucky along the river. A strong possibility is that John and Elizabeth moved to Putnam Co., Indiana with Elizabeth’s brother David who married Sesa Brown.
