Linkage as a son of Aaron Phillips, husband of Sarah Duncan, and father of John Ellis Phillips from Garvet Quesenberry's abbreviated 5-gen chart.
His gravestone gives his dates as Dec 14, 1842 to Nov 30, 1910, but that birth date is in conflict with the date of 3 May 1842 on his sister Paulina/Malina’s stone. The 1850 census recorded Obediah as 4, and Malina as 7. The 1860 census recorded Obediah as 14, and Paulina as 18. So he was probably born in Dec 1845.
