1850 census of Bath Co., Ky, district 1, enumerated 22 July, lists on p. 5 as family #55:
William Stone, 30, farmer, b. Bath Co., Ky; Mary Stone, 22, b. Montgomery Co., Ky.
Their two children are recorded with Mary’s parents. The ages and household compositions are supposed to be as of June 1, 1850, and my records have Mary Ann’s date of death as 11 Jan 1850. It is possible that this Mary is William’s sister instead, but considering the birthplaces, it is more likely that it is Mary McComick. Probably she really died in June rather than January, and whatever record the January date came from was misread.
