Probably a descendent of my Robert Jones & Mary Van Meter, judging by the fact that he named a son Robert Henry, both prominent names in that family, but I don't know the line.

Jones, Costly, 42, farmer; Cyntha, 43; Malinda, 17; Adalin, 16; Eliza, 15; Mary, 13; Lethia, 11; Nancy L., 11; Sparrel, 6; Cordelia, 3; Rush F., 1. All born in Virginia.
(Mary seems to have appeared in the birth order between Eliza and Letha since the 1850 census.)

1870 census of Floyd Co., Virginia, Jacksonville township, enumerated 23 June, lists on pp. 12-13 as family #89/84:
Jones, Costillo, 54, farmer; Cynthia, 55; Adeline, 26; Mary, 23; Lethey, 21; Nancy L., 19; Sparrel, 16; Rush F., 11; Robert H., 8. All born in Virginia.
