The index to birth records at Frankfort Vital Statistic office lists Earl E. Petitt, b. 1-13-1938 in Rowan Co., mother's maiden name Loretta Templeman.

Deeda's 1980 letter says that her brother Earl "supposedly married 7 times, no children, no wife now. Earl has always been flighty & says he's married to the woman he happens to be with at the time. Don't know if he ever really married at any time except once to a woman named Dorothy. She was super & they were together for about 4 or 5 years. I was very young, guessing I'd say it was around 1965 to 70. He's very touchy about it & won't talk."
