The report of the county clerk to the Kentucky state auditor lists James Riddle, born 2 July 1854 in Bath Co, father Andrew Riddle, mother’s maiden name Mary J. Grimsley.
His death certificate (Vol. 13, #06459) lists James Riddle, d. 8 March 1917, in Owingsville, Bath Co. His birthdate is given as 13 July 1854, and his age at death as 62 years 7 mos 17 ds. (These are not consistent; the age at death would imply a birthdate of 19 July 1854.) His marital status is married, occupation farmer, father Andrew B. Riddle, mother Mary June Grimsley, both b. in Ky. Informant L. N. Riddle. Cause of death chronic valvular heart disease.
