Cemetery Records of Carroll County, p. 483, lists a Mary Quesinberry 26 May 1865 - 24 July 1924 buried in the Horton family cemetery, with the note "Daughter of George & Joanna Quesinberry." But the Mary who appeared with the family in the 1850 and 1860 censuses obviously cannot have been born in 1865, and it seems improbable that they would have two daughters known as Mary. It is more likely that either the birthdate was mistranscribed, or that the Mary Quesenberry buried in the Horton cemetery is not really the daughter of George & Joanna, but was merely assumed to be so because they are buried nearby. It is not clear what the source of the family attributions are in this compilation, whether they derive from the inscriptions alone or other sources.
