Floyd Co. Birth Records list James L. Quesenberry b. 1-15-1871, father Lewis, occ: farmer, mother Eva J.
Ida Phillip's records list as a son of Lewis & Eva Jane: James Levi Quesenberry b. 3 Mar 1872. Elza Cox gives the same dates in his database. This is apparently based on James' cemetery inscription. But I can't see how a birth can be registered 14 months before it occurs, so I'm using the Floyd Co. birth record date.
Ida Phillip's records list as a son of Lewis & Eva Jane: James Levi Quesenberry b. 3 Mar 1872. Elza Cox gives the same dates in his database. This is apparently based on James' cemetery inscription. But I can't see how a birth can be registered 14 months before it occurs, so I'm using the Floyd Co. birth record date.
