1880 census of Liberty township, Grundy Co., Missouri, enumerated 9 June, lists on p. 5 as family #10:
Bailey, James T., 30, b. Ill Ill Ill, farmer; Nancy A., wife, 26, b. Ky Mo Mo; Ann L., 3, dau, b. Mo Mo Mo; Myrtie, dau, 5/12, b. Mo Ill Mo; Downing, Sarah, 14, sister-in-law, b. Mo Ky Mo.
If the place of birth for Ann’s father is correct, then she must not be James’ daughter, and if the mother’s place of birth for Ann and Myrtie are correct, neither of them would be Nancy’s (since she is correctly shown as born in Ky), but most likely it is just wrong, since the parents’ birthplaces are wrong for Nancy and Sarah.
