This daughter of Matthew is intended to represent the younger of the two females age 5-9 in his household in the 1830 census of Bath Co. She may also be the Rebecca Pettitt who married Daniel S. Carey on 26 May 1843 in Morgan Co., but on the other hand, perhaps Matthew's widow was named Rebecca. There are no ages on the marriage record, but a search for the Daniel Carey family in the 1850 census might give an approximate age for the Rebecca he married.
