His death certificate (Vol. 4, #01881) lists him as Elmer Lee Quesinberry, d. 16 Jan 1988, age 72, in Morehead, Rowan Co., residence same. It gives his birthdate as 9 Feb 1915, place of birth as Indiana, his parents as Ollie Quesinberry and Lyda Little, his occupation as construction laborer, his marital status as never married, and cause of death as pneumonia. The informant was Kenneth Robinson, and burial was in Mt. Pisgah Cem.

The Kentucky birth index, though, lists Elmer L. Quesinberry, born 8 Feb 1915 in Breathitt Co. (most Rowan Co. births in the 1910’s were misindexed11 as Breathitt Co.), mother’s maiden name Ida Little. So apparently Ken Robinson was mistaken about Elmer’s place of birth. (Note that Elmer was living in Muncie, Indiana in the 1930 census, so he did spend part of his childhood there.)
