John Warren probably died in late 1864 or early 1865, because he is on the 1864 tax list of Rowan County, but in 1865 he isn’t, and “Amanda J. Warren” is listed as a head of household. In 1866 Amanda also disappears from the tax list, so she had probably married Wiley C. Roberts by then.

Amanda was widowed for the second time at age 30, and never remarried.

Her death certificate records Mandy Roberds, age 73, born 1848 in Ky, widowed, died 24 April 1921 in Salt Lick, Bath Co., Ky, father Fielding Alfrey, mother’s maiden name Patsy Johnson, cause of death diarrhea enteritis, informant Ed Myers, Salt Lick, burial in Jones Cemetery.

Since she was listed as age 6 in 1850 and age 16 in 1860 (and first married in late 1857), she was probably really born in 1843, or early 1844 at the latest. The 1910 census says July 1843.

Her gravestone in Jones Cemetery is inscribed “MOTHER : Amanda J., wife of Wiley Roberts, Born July 19, 1843, Died Apr 24, 1921”

1880 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pearce prec., lists as family #186:
Fielding Alphey, 65; Manerva, 60, blind; Amanda Roberts, 35, dau, widowed; John Roberts, 10, grandson; Ada Roberts, 7, granddaughter.
