1850 census of Morgan Co., Ky, lists as family #163:
Hezekiah McDaniel Sr., 66, b. Md; Sophia, 70, b. Md; William, 29, Ky; John, 21, Ky; George, 7, Ky; Priscilla, 5, Ky; Elizabeth, 4, Ky.
The next family is that of Hezekiah McDaniel Jr. The three younger children are grandchildren, sons of William, judging by the 1860 census. But I can find no marriage record in Morgan Co. for William before October 1850.

1860 census of Rowan Co., Ky lists as household #34 (between John McDaniel and W. A. Fouch):
McDaniel, Hezekiah, 75, born Maryland. Living alone.

Unless noted otherwise (e.g., census, cemetery or marriage record notes), information on this immediate family is from a family group listing submitted to Kentucky Roots by Phyllis J. F. Mossing, 1743 Giant, Toledo, OH 43613, which I viewed at the Kentucky State Library in Frankfort. (Unfortunately, I did not make note of the issue number.) The children may not be in birth order. Years of birth were given in Mrs. Mossing's listing only for Nancy Jane and John, though I have found approximate dates for most of the others from census records.
