John Wilson is too common a name for me to be able to positively identify him in the 1880 or earlier censuses without independent information about his parents. The closest match in Putnam Co., Indiana in 1880 is a John R. Wilson, age 25, b. Ky Ky Ky, farm laborer, with the family of John D. Hart, age 37, and his wife Rhoda age 29.
