The annual report of the Morgan County clerk to the Kentucky state auditor for 1878 lists N. G. Brown, male, born 29 Jan 1861, father John Brown, mother’s maiden name Vianna Donahue. (”N. G.” was apparently a mishearing of Eugene.)

In 1930 she was listed in Cass Co., Indiana as Florence Brown, mother-in-law, 58, widowed, age at first marriage 24, with her daughter Lucy and son-in-law James F. Cox.

Rowan Co. Ky marriage register A, p. 110, records the marriage on 22 July 1897 of E. D. Brown and Florrence Hargis.

1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 6, enumerated 15 June, lists on p. 13A as family #208/210:
Brown, Eugene D., 30, b. Jan 1860, farmer; Florence B., wife, 28, b. Feb 1872, married 2 years, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Lucy, dau, 2, b. Jan 1898; John, son, 10/12, b. July 1899. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1910 census of Morgan Co., Ky, North Fork precinct, enumerated 30 April, lists on p. 10B as family #133/127:
Brown, E. D., 49, farmer, b. Ky Ky Ky; Florence, wife, 38, b. Ky Va Ky, first marriage for both, married 13 years, mother of 4 children, 4 living; Lucy, dau, 12; Jake, son, 10; Wales, son, 7; Zela, dau, 5. All children born Ky Ky Ky.

1920 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Panther’s Branch precinct, enumerated 7 Jan, lists on p. 4A as family #54:
