“Robert W. Hall, age 54, resident of 103 E. Main St., died Friday morning at his home following a lingering battle with a form of melanoma cancer .
Born in Shelby June 25, 1939 to the late Perry A. & Hessie (Lewis) Hall, he had been a Shelby area resident all his life. A 1958 graduate of Shelby High School, he had been employed at Ohio Steel Tube 28 years, retiring in November of '93. Mr. Hall was a member of the Temple of Faith Church on Taylortown Rd. and the United Steelworkers of America Local #3057 where he had held numerous positions.
Survivors include his wife Carmnella (Roth) Hall, whom he wed January 3, 1959; one son & one daughter-in-law, Chad & Lisa Hall of Ontario; two daughters & sons-in-law, JoAnn & Richard Krausman and Carol & Brian Finnegan of Shelby; daughter-in-law, Christine Hall and granddaughter, Cara Nicole Hall both of Shelby; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer & Eleanor Hall of Crestline, and Perry & Lois Hall of Shelby; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Virginia Albright, and Helen Aubel of Shelby, Beulah & Quinton Ream of Sun City, Arizona, Pauline & Henry Markwell, and Lois & James C. Miller of Clarksville, TN; and Lucille & John VanLoo of Plymouth; nieces; nephews; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert W. Hall in 1960; his daughter Charlene Hall in 1961; one sister, Ettie Hall; and two brothers, Earl and Albert Hall.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday from the Temple of Faith Church on Taylortown Rd. Reverend Ed Gayheart, his pastor, and Reverend Clifford Cook will officiate, with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at Barkdull Funeral Home Sunday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the Arthur G. James Cancer Research Fund, or the Mansfield General Hospice Program and left in care of the funeral home.”
