The year may be off by one - the 1880 census, taken in June, listed him as age 6, and the 1900 census, also taken in June, listed him as age 25 born May 1874 (which is internally inconsistent.)
His death certificate records Charley Fleming Jones, age 63, birthdate blank, born in Soldier, Ky, died 25 Sep 1938 in Ashland, Boyd Co., Ky, residence 2409 Carter Ave., Ashland, married, husband of Addie Jones, father Benjamin F. Jones, mother’s maiden name Angeline Williams, both born in Ky, cause of death cardiac insufficiency general dropsy, informant Mrs. Addie Jones, same address, burial in Ashland Cemetery.
