1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hoggtown precinct, enumeratd 18 June, lists on p. 12B as family #215/219:
Fannin, James, 69, b. Jun 1830, farmer; Carroline, wife, 57, b. Mar 1843, married 41 years, mother of 4 children, 2 living.

The previous household is that of their son James, listed as age 40, widowed, and the one before that is their daughter Sarah and her husband John Boggs. So juddging from the “2 children living” bit, Edwin and John had apparently both died.
