Floyd Co. death records list Eunice Jones d. 8 Sep 1858, age 28 yrs 3 mos, cause of death fever, parents Luke & S. Cox, spouse Joshua, informant Nancy Jones, sister-in-law. The "fever" was probably due to infection after childbirth, because Floyd Co. birth records list a daughter b. 19 Sep 1858. One or both of the dates must be wrong, because Eunice can't have died 11 days before giving birth.
