(The spelling “Danial” is that way in the index, which is why I didn’t find this record the first time I searched for it.)

Her death certificate records Susan Cornette, age 84, born 7 July 1863 in Ky, died 15 Mar 1948, in Rowan Co., Ky, residence same, widowed, father William Ward, mother’s maiden name Maria Story, both born in Ky, cause of death artero sclerotic heart disease, informant Roy Cornette, Morehead, Ky.

In her will54, dated 29 May 1944 and filed 5 April 1948, Susan leaves all of her property in a trust for the support of her son Forest, appointing her son Roy and daughter Myrtle as executors of the will and the trust, stating that Forest is unable to earn a livelihood for himself or transact his own business, and that her other children are all “living in distant places from this city” and capable of earning their own living and support.

Cornett, D.B., 52, KY VA KY; (w) Susan, 46, OH OH OH; married 29 yrs, 9 children, 8 living; (d) Ethel, 21; (s) Forrest, 18; (s) Ward, 16; (s) Earl, 14; (d) Myrtle, 11; (s) Leroy, 7. All children born in KY.

In 1920 Ward, Myrtle and Roy are living with the family of their sister Ethel and her husband Jesse Bogges.
