His WW I draft registration card, filed 5 June 1917, records James Markwell, age 22, residence Clearfield, Ky, born 21 July 1894 in Morehead, Ky, occupation locomotive fireman, employer Morehead & North Fork R.R. Co., married, supporting a wife and 2 children, medium height and build, grey eyes, black hair.
The Ohio deaths database lists James E. Markwell, age 73, died 24 Oct 1967 in Shelby, Richland Co., Ohio, married.
The SSDI lists James Markwell, born 21 July 1894, died Oct 1967, last residence Sehlby, Richland Co., Ohio, SSN issued in Kentucky before 1951.

The date of birth given in the Social Security record is two years earlier than that implied by the marriage record and the 1910 census. (It also doesn't agree with the date of Aug 1896 given in the 1900 census, but the birth months on the 1900 census seem to be completely fictional for the whole county.)
Her gravestone has the dates 1 Jan 1899 to 1 Aug 1977, which is two years later than the age suggested by the 1910 census and her recorded age at marriage. It is unlikely she married at age 14, so I suspect that she was really born in 1897.
