Her death certificate states Hattie E. Cooper, age 40 years 11 mos 12 days, born 15 June 1894 in Rowan Co., died 12 June 1835 in Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, married, wife of Leonard W. Cooper, father William Hardin, mother’s maiden name Mary Foster, both born in Rowan Co., cause of death tuberculosis of kidneys and bladder, informant Leonard W. Cooper, Frankfort, Ky, burial in Janson Cem.
The birthdate may be off by a year or two. It was listed as June 1892 in the 1900 census, and her brother Orbie’s birthdate was listed as 1894, which would conflict.
The marriage to Leonard Cooper may have been a second marriage that occurred after 1930, since Hattie had already left her parents’ home by 1910, but I cannot find any Leonard or Hattie Cooper who would match in the 1910 to 1930 censuses. Nor can I find Hattie as a mother in the Kentucky birth index.
