Her obituary reported:
“Luella Margarette Kegley, 89, of Shelby died Sunday evening February 26, 2012 at Crestwood Care Center. Born April 11, 1922 in Lucas, Ohio to Luzerne & Anna (Koons) Jennings and was a Shelby/Shiloh area resident most of her life. Luella had worked at the Shelby Gum Company and Ballonoffs and was a member of the Temple of God Church in Shelby. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, dancing and playing the piano.
She is survived by four daughters, Doris Marie (Richard) Senn of Fostoria, Mary Lou (James) Stall of Greenwich, Norma Jean (Link) Feltner and Carolyn Fay (Marvin) Veleba of Sandusky; one son, Harley Earl (Kim) Kegley of South Carolina; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; one brother, Chester (Mary Ann) Jennings of Shiloh and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Lewis Kegley, her son, Norman Leroy Kegley in 2003 and seven brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday March 3, 2012 at the Barkdull Funeral Home. Pastor George Lewis and Assistant Pastor John Montgomery will officiate with interment held in Pavonia Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the Temple of God Church.”
