His obituary reported:
“The Rev. Sidney Crose died today at his home. He was born in Moorehead, Ky., and came to Muncie in 1927. He had been pastor of Boyceton Separate Baptist Church for over 20 years. A former employee of Broderick Co., he retired six years ago after 33 years of service.
Surviving are three sons, Howard, Arlington, Texas, and Donald and Michael, both of Muncie; a daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Carol Ann) Earls, Muncie; two brothers, Fred, Muncie, and Vernie, Fort Myers, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Moore, Fort Myers, Fla., and Mrs. Mazola Hamblin, Muncie; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.”

Her obituary reported:
“Lydia G. Crose, 86, passed away Wednesday morning in The Waters of Yorktown.
She was born in Muncie to the late Edward and Josephine Morgan. Mrs. Crose retired from Guardian Florist, where she was a floral designer for 35 years. She was a member of Peoples Sympathy Club and Boyceton Separate Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Howard Crose (wife-Daphne) of Fort Worth, Texas, Don Crose (wife-Sherry) of Muncie, and Mike Crose (wife-Debi) of Muncie; a daughter, Carol Earls (husband-Lowell) of Muncie; two sisters, Pauline Smith of Muncie, and Emmadel Simpson of Hamilton, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rev. Sidney Crose.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary, with Rev. Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.”
