The informant is probably Emily’s brother John Edward Jones.

I cannot find a death record for Emily, but she probably died shortly after the birth of Gracie, her daughter by Davis Brown. It is unlikely that she and Davis divorced, because their daughter was raised by Davis and his third wife Catherine.

Rowan Co. marriage book 7, p. 269 records marriage on 25 Nov 1910 of Henry Cassity, 29, s/o Wm & Bethenia Cassity, to Emily Jones, 17, d/o D. K. & Eliza Jones, at D. K. Jones by Presley Manier, witnesses John Caudill and J. E. Jones.

Emily is not listed in the family group for David K. Jones printed in Past Images of Rowan County.

Since Henry and Emily were married after the 1910 census was taken, and he died in 1915, they do not appear together in any census.
