His obituary reported “Isaac Newton Caudill was born September 25, 1871, the beloved son of Elijah and Nancy Johnson Caudill. He was married to Elizabeth Eldridge on October 16, 1890, she preceded him in death on July 13, 1955, but to this union were born 11 children of which 3 have preceded him in death.
Those left to mourn his passing include his children, Mrs. Lucy Lewis of Charleston, West Virginia; Mrs. Sarah Cornett of Clarksville, Ohio; Mrs. Emma Eldridge of Mt. Orab, Ohio; Mrs. Fannie Bradley of Hillmar, California; Harlin Caudill of Morehead, Kentucky; Mrs. Vesta Kissick, of Blanchester, Ohio; Stewart Caudill of Morehead, Kentucky; and Mrs. Edna Burgess of Cincinnati, Ohio. He also leaves behind 46 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Elder Caudill was baptized at Cold Springs, Kentucky in October, 1897, holding membership in the Primitive Baptist Church. He was later ordained as a minister and has lived in faithful service to the Lord until his death on December 16, 1963 at the age of 92 years, 2 months, and 21 days.”
