His WWI draft registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says Charley Hall, age 26, Eadston, Ky, born 15 Aug 1891 in Triplett, Ky, married with wife and 4 children, occupation clay mining, employer Gillimore Fire Clay Co., Haldeman.

(His gravestone has his birthdate as 15 Aug 1890. I don’t know which is correct.)

Rowan Co. marriage book 8, p. 40, records marriage on 6 Mar 1913 of Charles Hall, 22, s/o Floyd & Susan Hall, to Hettie Smith, 23, d/o Willie & Matilda Smith, at C. E. Hogge's, Eadston, Ky, by J. W. Riley, witnesses Mr. & Mrs. C. E. Hogge and Nannie Pigman.

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hogtown precinct, enumerated Jan 14, lists on p. 5A as family #86/90:
Hall, Chas, 29, farmer; Hettie, wife, 30; Robert, son, 6; Ranerd, son, 5; Francis, dau, 4 1/12; Blanche, dau, 3 9/12; Chas, son, 2 1/12; Deward, son, 3/12; Steward, son, 3/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The next household is headed by his brother James, and the one after that by his father and stepmother.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Haldeman precinct, enumerated April 12, lists on p. 1A as family #2:
