Census Notes for Logan Clevenger
The earliest I can find Logan in the censuses is 1930, when he was already 23. He is listed there as a cousin of Oscar Clevenger, son of Levi Clevenger. But the only one of Levi’s brothers who lived past 1900 was John, and his youngest son was Roy, born 1900. So Logan is probably a first cousin once removed to Oscar, grandson of Alexander, John or Willliam, and most likely Logan is his middle name that he switched to going by sometime after 1920.
1930 census of Elliott Co., Ky, precinct 2, enumerated 17 April, lists on p. 10B as family #191/206, on Devils Fork Rd:
Clevenger, Oscar, 34, age at first marriage 20, farmer; Ina, wife, 33, age at first marriage 19; Densil, son, 14; Geneva, dau, 7; Windell, son, 6; Loretta, dau, 2 6/12; Logan, cousin, 23, single, farm laborer. Geneva born Ohio Ky Ky, all others Ky Ky Ky.
