The reported birthdate is probably off by one or two years; most other records are more consistent with a birthdate in 1898 or late 1897, and his brother Homer ‘s draft card reports his birthdate as 18 March 1900, which would be only 5 months after Oct 1899.
The Kentucky death index lists Wales T. Dehart, age 56, died 30 Mar 1955 in Boyd Co., residence Rowan Co.
