Debbie Howard’s web site lists Elizabeth as a daughter of Benjamin Caudill b. ca 1724, son of the progenitor Stephen Caudill. But all of Benjamin’s other children are born in the 1740’s or 1750’s in Virginia. In 1797 that Benjamin would have been about 73. He might really be Elizabeth’s father, but it is also possible that somebody attached Elizabeth to the wrong parent. For example, Benjamin b. 1724 had a son Benjamin Jr., whom no descendants are shown for. It would fit better for Elizabeth to be a daughter of Benjamin Jr. than Benjamin Sr.
