According to the survey published by the Rowan County Historical Society, there are a pair of graves in Brown Cemetery for Gertia and William Caskey, with the dates 2 Oct 1869 to 1 Jun 1947 for William, and 1890-1955 for Gertia. The birth year for Gertie fits her age at marriage, but the birthdate for William is very far off. (His age at marriage on 21 Oct 1908 was given as 24, suggesting a birthdate around 1884. If he was born in Oct 1869 he would have been 39 in 1908. It is unlikely there would have been two Gerties born in 1890 both married to men named William Caskey, so either the birthdate on the cemetery survey or the age in the marriage record must be wrong.
