His obituary in the Sep 3, 1996 Morehead News says "Allie Virgil Workman, 81, of 3975 Dry Creek Road, died Aug. 31, at the St. Clair Medical Center in Morehead. He was born Feb. 18, 1915 in Rowan County to the late Nathan and Viola Skaggs Workman. ... He was preceded in death by two sons, Vernon Ray Workman and Monroe Workman. Surviving are his wife, Stella Kidd Workman; one daughter, Janice Ann Hatton of Clearfield; three brothers, Robert Workman of Clearfield, Clyde Workman of Morehead, and Herman Workman of Clearfield; two sisters, Gertrude Hall of Clearfield, and Isalene Caudill of Muncie, Ind. Also surviving is one grandson, Brandon Lee Hatton."

The Kentucky Birth Index lists Stella Kidd, born 8 Mar 1919 in Rowan Co., mother’s maiden name Pona Kidd. (Apparently a misreading of the handwriting.)
