Her obituary reported “Mrs. Harold (Juanita M.) Bone, 68, of 855 Creek Drive, Bluffton, died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne from injuries in an automobile accident near Peru. That same accident took the life of her Bluffton sister, Viola ‘Mae’ Lambert, who died at 12:55 p.m. that same day.

Mrs. Bone was retired from R & L Transfer Company in Wilmington, Ohio, and was a resident of Wells County since November of 2002.
She was born Jan. 22, 1935, at Greencastle to Samuel and Eva DeHart Smedley. Her marriage was on Oct. 24, 1953, at Noblesville, Ind., to Harold Bone, who survives in Bluffton.

Also surviving are two sons, Harold M. Bone of LaVerne, Calif., and Timothy L. Bone of Palm Springs, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Brenda K.) Powell of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and Mrs. Thom (Tamela S.) Gidley of Denver, Ind.; three brothers, William Smedley of Sabina, Ohio, James Smedley of Morehead, Ky., and Roger Smedley of Lagro; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.”
