His obituary in the Morehead News of Jan. 14, 1997 reads:
"Addie Dehart, 78, of Brown Ridge, died Saturday, Jan. 11 in a fire at his residence.
He was born Aug. 7, 1918 in Elliott County to the late John and Lizzie Shelton Dehart. A farmer, he was of the Baptist faith. He served on the ASCS committe and was a Vo-ed Regional 9 advisor and an Army veteran of the World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Brown Dehart, one brother, Glenn Dehart, and a sister, Ollie Stegall. Survivors include three brothers, Charlie and Arville Dehart, both of Brown Ridge, Delbert Dehart of Huntington, W.Va., three sisters, Opal Fults and Anna Vansant, both of Brown Ridge, and Goldia Fugett of Jolliett, Ill.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wed., Jan. 15 at 1 pm at the Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with the Rev. George Stafford and the Rev. Warren Vanover officiating with burial in the Dehart Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dr. Arvis Porter, Dr. James Vansant, Virgil Dehart, Leslie Dehart, Glenn Dehart Jr., John Allen Stegall, William Dehart and Dennis Fugett.
