His WWI Draft Registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Lige Thornsberry, age 21, residence Wagner, Ky, born 26 Aug 1897, occupation farmer, self-employed, nearest relative Amanda Thornsberry.
His death certificate records Eligil Thornsberry, age 38, born 12 Jan 1887 in Rowan Co., died 21 June 1935 in Wagner, Rowan Co., Ky, divorced, father Ikie Thornsberry, born in Elliott Co., mother Mandy Jennings, born in Morgan Co., cause of death shot and killed, informant Sarah Jennings, Hamm, Ky, burial in Jennings Cemetery.
(Judging by the age at death, 1897 was apparently intended for the birth year and somone subtracted wrong, but even so, the birthdate is inconsistent with that given on his draft registration. Although the form asks in cases of violent death to report whether the death was accidental, suicide or homicide, there is no indication given. The informant Sarah Jennings was probably Sarah Slusher Jennings, wife of his mother’s brother John Milt Jennings.)

I cannot find this family in the 1920 census. (Polly may have died by then, but Lige and David were still living.)
