Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 4, p. 433, records the marriage on 8 Mar 1903 of Lanford Flanery, age 26, farmer, residence Yale, born in and mother born in Elliott Co., father born in Virginia, to Purley Elliott, age 17, residence Morehead, born in and father born in Morgan Co., mother born in Rowan Co., at Brady Switch by B. T. Flanery, witnesses Sherman McKenzie and Bluford Elliott.
Ray Flannery, son of Clayton Flannery and Bethal Skaggs, told me that his father’s parents were Lansford Flannery and Pearl Elliott. But in the censuses, there is no Clayton with this family, whereas there is a Clayton born 1905 living with the family of Walker and Martha Flannery in Elliott Co.
