Morgan Co. death records on LDS microfilm #216,835 list death on 12 Mar 1854 of Lafatte Pierce, age 5, "widdow's son", residence Licking, Morgan Co., born Triplett, Morgan Co., parents Greenberry & Susan Pierce, cause of death "numony".
The list of graves relocated when Cave Run Lake was created contains Lafayette Pierce, 1848-1954.
I am making the assumption that Lafayette is the same person as the son listed as “Marcus age 1” in the 1850 census. The other young child listed in that census, William age 2 months in August 1850, would have been not quite 4 years old in March 1854. (There are other Marcus Lafayettes in my database; the two names were apparently used together as a way of naming someone after the Marquis de Lafayette.)
