Her death certificate records Mary Susan Deharte, age 78 years 8 months 1 day, born 5 Dec 1855 in Morgan Co., Ky, died 8 Aug 1934 in Wagner, Rowan Co., Ky, widow, father Miles Cassity, mother’s maiden name Elizabeth Ellington, both born in Rowan Co., cause of death disentery, no doctor, informant C. E. Perkins, Hamm, burial in Perry Cemetery.

The informant was mistaken about her maiden name; her father was Miles Caskey, not Cassity.

Morgan Co. marriage books record the marriage on 28 Nov 1872 of Jesse Dehart and Mary Susan Caskey at W. M. Caskey’s by W. W. Cox, witnesses Charley W. Neal and George H. Turner.
