Her obituary in the Morehead News of 27 Jun 1997 reported:

"Gertrude Jent Riddle, 78, of Christy Creek, Morehead, died Tuesday, June 24, at the St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead. She was born on Jan. 18, 1919 in Rowan County to the late Harvey Linville Jent and Myrtle Magdeline Lewis Jent. She was a homemaker and a member of the East End Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie Riddle on March 3, 1974 and a son, Herman Riddle on April 3, 1960. Surviving are three sons, Bobby Riddle of Muncie, Ind., Roy Riddle of Tampa, Fla., and William Riddle of Morehead; six daughters, Gloria Branham, Margaret Kissick, Virginia Lambert and Lucille Riddle, all of Morehead, Betty Alsept of Carlisle and Phyllis Smith of Muncie, Ind.; five brothers, Robert Franklin Jent of Middletown, Ohio, Roy Vencil Jent of New Castle, Ind., Allie Vernon Jent of New Carlisle, Ohio, Ervin Jent and Delmar Jent, both of Morehead; three sisters, Ida Olive Taylor of Muncie, Ind., Anna Frances Anderson of Muncie, Ind., and Eliza Elizabeth Cooper of Lewisville, Ind. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, June 26, at the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating with burial at the Jent Cemetery on Christy Creek. Pallbearers: Billy Branham, Jackie Branham, Jason Herrington, William Wallace, Bob Riddle and Jason Branham.”
