Montgomery Co. Deed Book 18, p. 313, dated 20 Mar 1838, William Pettit and Mary his wife of Montgomery Co. Kentucky convey to Asa T. Pettit of the same location, for $200 paid to them in hand, all their title, claim and interest in a lot of land on Slate Creek on which there is erected a watergrist mill, saw mill, horse mill, dwelling house and store house, which property is now occupied by Asa T. Pettit and formerly known as Myer's Mills.
