Robinson, Nathaniel, 29, Va; Elizabeth, 25, Va; Mary S., 4, Va; Lucy, 3, Va; David S., 10/12 b. Aug, Ky; Dehart, Susan, 64, Va; Thomas, 16, Va.
This is the only Thomas Dehart age 16 in the 1870 census for Morgan, Rowan, Elliott counties. It appears from the birthdates of the children that the family had been in Kentucky less than 3 years.
1880 census of Elliott Co., Kentucky, precinct #1 (Martinsburg), lists as family #20:
Robertsin, Nath. J., 39, farmer, Va Va Va; Elizabeth, 35, wife, Va Va Va; Mary S., 13, dau; WV Va VA; Luella, 11, dau, WV Va VA; Danl S., 10, son, Ky Va Va; Wm. H., son, 8, Ky Va Va; James C., son, 6, Ky Va Va; Charles W., 4, son, Ky Va Va; Alice, 2, dau, Ky Va Va.
(Either the 1870 or the 1880 census is probably mistranscribed on David/Daniel’s name, but I don’t know which one. Luella in this reading is probably Lucy from the previous one. She may have been only 2 in 1870. Note that the place of birth for the oldest two children has changed from Virginia to West Virginia.)
