Her death certificate records Elizabeth Collins, age 72, birthdate blank, died 3 June 1933 in Salt Lick, Bath Co., Ky, born in Ky, father Madison Carter, mother’s maiden name Sally Thomas, both born in Ky, cause of death complete hemaplegia of right side, kidney & bladder trouble for 3 to 5 years, informant Marvin Collins, Salt Lick, Ky, burial in Salt Lick graveyard.

Although this family lived in Bath Co., they were not descended from the Collins families that were native to the Bath county area. Bryant’s parents were from Letcher Co., where all their children were born, and moved to Morgan Co. between 1870 and 1880. Bryant is the only one of their children who moved to Bath Co. The others either stayed in Morgan Co., or moved to Rowan Co.

1910 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur precinct, enumerated 25 April, lists on p. 12A as family #256/269:
Collins, Bryant W., 50, b. Ky Va Ky; Elizabeth, wife, 48, first marriage for both, married 28 years, mother of 7 children, 6 living; Arnold, son, 26; Marion, son, 19; Frank, son, 15; William, son, 13; Emory, son, 6. All except Bryant born Ky Ky Ky.

1920 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur precinct, enumerated 12 Jan, lists on p. 4B as family #77:
