Her obituary in the Morehead News reported:
“MOREHEAD - Gladys Binion Cox, 96, passed away Friday, March 23, 2007 in the Elliott County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sandy Hook after an extended illness.
She was born on March 4, 1911 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Luster and Sarah Flannery Binion.
Mrs. Cox was a former employee of The Dixie Grill and Dairy Queen of Morehead. She was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed sewing, quilting, flowers and collecting what nots.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlen Cox who passed away on September 23, 1996, two brothers, Ray Binion and Riley Binion and two sisters, Naoma Conn and Hazel DeHart.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Monday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.”
