Morgan Co., Ky birth records have two entries recorded for Jeremiah Wilson on the same date (30 June 1852), once with parents “unknown Wilson” and Lucy S. Hanter, and one with parents Isiah Wilson and Sarah Jane Wilson (maiden name.) The former entry is apparently a clerical error; there are no other local records of any Lucy marrying a Wilson, nor of any other Jeremiah Wilson the same age as the one who was the son of Isaiah and Sarah.

His death certificate records Jeremiah Wilson, age 64, born 1853, died 24 April 1917, married, father Uriah Wilson, mother’s maiden name Sarah Wilson, cause of death nephritis, informant B. S. Wilson, Ashland.

1880 census of Rowan Co., Morehead precinct, lists as family #1:
Wilson, Jeremiah, 37, merchant, Ky Oh Ky; Annie, 30, wife, Ky Va Ky; Everett, 7, son; Cora, 4, dau; Clifford, 3, son; Bunyan, 1, son ; Homer, 3/12 son, Caldwell, Sarah, 16, servant. All children born Ky Ky Ky. (Note that the age for Jeremiah should be 27, not 37.)
