His WW I draft registration card records Early Fyffe, age 22, born 1 Aug 1894, residence Ophir, Morgan Co., Ky, farmer, self-employed, married supporting a wife.
The Kentucky Death Index lists Earlie Fyffe, died 26 July 1964, age 69, in Johnson Co., residence same, certificate Vol. 38, #18594.
I was sent a photograph of his gravestone taken by his great-granddaughter Vickie Lester; it says FYFFE Earlie 1896-1964 and Elva 1896-1981. The 1896 birthdates are not consistent with the Social Security or death certificate records; it is possible that the Social Security records are wrong, but it is more likely that the descendants who ordered the stone did not know the correct birthdates.
