Ida and Dora may really be daughters of James and a previous wife, but since I do not know who that was, I am leaving them in this family for now.

Cox, James, 29, b. Jan 1871, farmer; Clara, wife, 22, b. Feb 1878, married 2 years, mother of 3 children, 3 living; Ida, dau, 5, b. June 1894; Dora, dau, 4, b. Aug 1895; Myrtie, dau, 1, b. Feb 1899. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Since James was listed as age 1 in the 1870 census, and Clara/Clarissa was listed as age 5 in 1880, his birthdate is off by about two years and hers by three.
