I cannot locate this family in the 1900 census.
1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 27 April, lists on p. 9A as family #152/159:
Morris, John, 54, farm owner; Rachael, wife, 40, first marriage for both, married 25 years, mother of 1 child, 0 living; Cephus, adopted son, 17; Kelly, adopted son, 9; Addie, adopted daughter, 7/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The indication that Rachel is the mother of zero living children is in conflict with the information on John Henry Morris’s death certificate that his parents were John Morris and Rachel Triplett. So perhaps he is another adopted son.
1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pearcy precinct, enumerated 24 Jan, lists on p. 7B as family #139/159:
Morris, Ratchel, 50, widowed, farmer; Kelly, son, 19, married; Pearl, dau-in-law, 17; Biddie, dau, 11; Dewey, son, 9; Anna, dau, 8; John K., son, 3; Rachel M., dau, 10/12. Ginter, Butner, lodger, 13, single. All born Ky Ky Ky.
