Joshua Goad, 44, farmer; Polly, 44; Martin, 16; Ruth, 14; Henry, 12; Hannah, 10; Spencer, 6. All born in Va.
The 1860 census lists the widowed Polly and the three youngest children twice, recorded two weeks apart, once in Hillsville and once in Dugspur.
1860 census of Carroll Co., Va, Hillsville P.O., enumerated 2 July, lists on p. 37 as family #242/243:
Polly Goad, 72, day laborer; Hannah, 19, day laborer; Spencer, 17, day laborer; Leanna, 11.
